We all probably already feel a Christmas vibe in the air! So today I have a review and swatches of one of the cutest holiday palettes - Too Faced Sugar Cookie which is a part of Too Faced Holiday Collection. I didn't plan to buy it but I couldn't help myself. In the UK this palette is Selfridges exclusive and it costs £22.
Just look at this gorgeous packaging! It is metal and is really well made purse-sized palette. It has extremely satisfying magnetic closure. We have a really reasonable sized mirror which we can use to do makeup on the go. Even outer box is beautifully made, it has rubbery finish and cookies printed on it are raised. Is is such a small but lovely detail. Pallet contains 8 shadows. Six of them have 0.8g/0.02Oz. and two of them have 0.95g/0.03Oz. So in total we have 6.7g/0.18Oz. of an eye shadow and this is about half of amount we get in Sweet Peach Palette.

Because of it's colour selection this is a great palette for a gift or for travelling. Shades are neutral and will be flattering on many skin tones. You have your basic matte shades: light beige to put under your brow bone, light brown - great as a transition shade and dark brown to deepen your outer corner. In addition you have nice shimmers to play with. It is a small palette but you can still create many different looks with it. Quality of shadows in this palette is very good. Mattes are very pigmented and they blend easily. Shimmers are creamy and you can easily apply them with brush or with finger. The only shade which is a little bit disappointing is TOUGH COOKIE because in the pan it looks like a very dark aubergine colour but when you start to blend it turns greyish black. It is a shimmer shade but it is not very intensive shimmer, after blending it looks more satin. This is not a bad thing as it is the darkest shade in the palette so if you want to create a very dramatic look you can use it deepen the look.
In my opinion it is great, good quality, travel-friendly palette. I highly recommend it! Comparing to Tickled Peach from the same holiday collection this palette is more neutral leaning towards cool toned palette. Photo of both palettes below.
